After Hours Care update
From 8th June, MMC patients will be able to access virtual GP After Hours care for the same price as during working hours i.e. $20.
Ring MMC on (06) 843 8010 after 5 pm and your call will be diverted to Practice Plus. A free nurse triage will assess whether a phone/video GP consult will be right for you.
If you do not have credit on your phone, ring 0800 7722 7587. Just mention that you are a MMC patient to get the discount.

Prescription Changes in 2026
You may now be eligible for a 12-month prescription for some or all of your medications. Please discuss this with your GP at your next repeat prescription appointment to see whether this is appropriate for you.
From 2026, all repeat prescriptions will require a minimum 48-hour (two working day) turnaround. This means you must request your prescription at least two working days before you need it. This allows your own GP to safely review and complete your prescription, including when doctors are away or not working every day.
If your prescription is urgent, please phone reception and explain your situation. We will make an exception where possible.
Please note that medication changes and prescription reviews cannot be arranged over the phone or added on at the end of a standard 15-minute appointment. An appointment with your GP is required to discuss any changes safely and thoroughly.
